Map the whole wardrobe first
Create a range plan covering everyday shirts and bottoms, formal blazers, knitwear and PE or sportswear. Mark which items are compulsory, seasonal or specific to age groups. This makes gaps visible before individual garments are sampled and gives the supplier a clear picture of how the pieces need to work together.
Approve colors across fabric types
The same named color can look different on shirting, knitwear and a blazer fabric. Review physical references as a group under agreed lighting. Record the accepted shade for each material rather than assuming one digital color value settles the entire wardrobe. Approve embroidery and badges alongside the garments they will appear on.
Review a size set, not only one sample
A single base-size sample cannot show how the range fits younger and older pupils. Review the planned grading, garment lengths and adjustable waist details. Check the blazer with the intended shirt and knitwear underneath, and assess PE pieces during movement. Consolidate feedback into one measurement and construction record.
Make reorders part of the first order
Retain approved samples, material references, crest artwork and packaging instructions. Define how changes to fabrics or trims will be reviewed. Share the expected reorder pattern and replacement needs so future discussions begin with the correct specification. Avoid relying only on a photograph or a previous purchase order to identify the product.
