Specify school shirts beyond the colour and size label
For schoolwear suppliers and private label brands, a repeatable shirt starts with an agreed collar, fit block and measurement chart. Develop short- or long-sleeve school shirts around the school's dress requirements and the pupil range you intend to supply.
- Collar, opening and sleeve decisions
- Supply a front and back drawing showing the collar, placket, pocket and cuff. Mark whether the shirt will be worn tucked or untucked, and identify the logo location. Short- and long-sleeve variants should be listed separately for quotation and quantity review.
- Fabric and wash review
- Compare the proposed cotton-rich shirting against your care brief. During sample review, check opacity, collar appearance, button spacing and measurements after the agreed wash routine. Request any specific performance evidence before presenting a fabric feature as a finished-product claim.
- Four-size order allocation
- For each shirt style and colour, order at least 100 pieces across 4 sizes. An illustrative allocation is 20 / 30 / 30 / 20 pieces, not a required ratio. Match your allocation to buyer demand and send garment measurements for approval; age labels alone do not define the fit.
