Develop children's and adult everyday garments around a defined fabric feel, fit and finishing preference. A reference swatch or garment helps explain what your brand means by soft, while sample review checks how that material behaves in the intended design.
- Compare materials with a common brief
- Cotton–modal jersey and soft knit options can be reviewed during sourcing. Describe whether you want a smooth or brushed surface, lightweight or more substantial feel, and relaxed or closer fit. The final composition, weight and finish are confirmed for the actual material selected.
- Separate fit and contact-point decisions
- Identify the garment type and the intended children's or adult range. Specify the neckline, cuffs, waistband and pockets rather than assuming one soft fabric resolves all contact concerns. Minimal hardware and low-bulk finishing are design options to evaluate against the wearer's preferences.
- Record pre-wash and post-wash observations
- Review the same sample for surface feel, visible pilling, measurements and seam behaviour before and after the intended care routine. Keep the approved reference and record changes requested. No universal comfort outcome or unverified material performance is promised.
