What the sample fee covers
Materials and trims, pattern development and sample sewing. The two-piece set rate assumes both pieces use the same fabric. Garment shipping and digital pattern files are not included. Customer-supplied materials reduce the material charge according to the agreed scope.
Additional development costs
Recreating or modifying an existing reference pattern: from US$7.45 per single garment or US$14.90 per two-piece set. Special techniques are quoted separately; the reference range is US$7.45–US$149.00 depending on the process and workmanship.
Size grading includes 3 sizes. Each additional size is US$7.45. Each additional oversized pattern piece (over one size A0 sheet) is US$4.47. Confirm the required file and grading deliverables in the quotation.
Sample changes & remakes
For buyer-requested design changes after the sample has been completed to the agreed requirements, remaking starts at 70% of the original sample fee. Additional labor or material costs are charged at actual cost. This remake rate is not a bulk unit price. If a sample does not match the agreed requirements, the correction is reviewed separately.
Sample fee credit toward bulk orders
For a qualifying single-style order of 200 pieces or cumulative orders of 400 pieces, the eligible sample-fee amount may be credited against the bulk order. It is not automatically a full cash refund: the bulk unit cost is deducted from the sample fee when calculating the eligible credit. Remake fees are excluded. Confirm qualification and the credit amount in the written quotation.
Example from the reference schedule: a US$59.60 sample fee less a US$19.37 bulk unit cost gives a US$40.23 eligible credit. This example does not set a bulk unit price for your product.

- 70% deposit before bulk production. The remaining 30% is payable before shipment, after pre-shipment photos/videos are provided or an inspection is completed, as agreed for the order.

Sampling takes 7–12 days for simple styles; 15–20 days for complex styles. Confirm style complexity and material availability when the brief is reviewed.
What approval should cover
Check the sample in its intended use: reach and bend in workwear, evaluate seated fit for wheelchair-friendly pants and test access for easy-dressing closures.
